Penerapan Metode Simpleks dalam optimasi produksi pada usaha mikro kecil dan menengah(UMKM)

Abstract

This study aims to observe the application of the simplex method in optimizing the production process of a Small and Medium Enterprise (SME). The observation involved collecting data related to raw material capacity, working hours, labor availability, and profit per unit of each product. The collected data were analyzed using a linear programming approach through the simplex method to determine the most profitable production combination.

The findings indicate that the simplex method assists SMEs in identifying efficient production strategies and provides clearer insights into the optimal use of available resources. By understanding existing production constraints, SMEs can improve operational efficiency, maximize output, and reduce resource wastage
