Abstract

The advancement of information technology demands companies to manage employee data more effectively and
efficiently. One viable solution is a cloud-based employee data collection system that enables centralized and real-time data storage
and processing. This research or development project explores the implementation of the Kotlin programming language in building
a cloud-based employee data collection application. Kotlin was chosen for its modern features, interoperability with Java, support
for multiplatform development (Android and web), concise syntax, and built-in safety against null pointer exceptions.
The system is designed to facilitate automated attendance tracking and employee data management through integration with cloud
services such as Firebase or Google Cloud. The implementation results indicate that using Kotlin in the development of a cloud-
based employee data system enhances data collection speed, minimizes input errors, and provides easy access for company
management. Therefore, the application of Kotlin in this system represents an innovative solution to support the digitalization of
human resource management
